The state has always been at war. Nobody remembers why, and nobody asks. The factories run,
the ration lines are orderly and the morning siren is never late.
You hold a sector of the Front. Sign the requisitions, place your waves, blow the whistle and
watch. The men do the rest. Across the wire, the enemy's loudspeakers promise the same
victory.
The war is going well.

Standing orders How the front works
01
Five waves. One whistle.
Form your men and machines into squads, set them on your side of the line and send them over in waves. Once the whistle blows, nobody takes orders. Not even from you.
02
The requisition office
Spend your allocation between battles. Every unit belongs to a track of five tiers, from a worker with a tool to a works with a crew. Training is paid for in gold. Everything is paid for in gold.
03
Eight to a sector
Eight commanders share each front and the enemy changes every round. Outlast the other seven, or climb the ranked queue. Promotion is possible. Peace is not on the form.
04
Your ground remembers
Every match starts in a meadow. Every shell stays where it lands. Round by round the grass gives way to mud, wrecks and craters, and the Bulletin reports a record harvest.
Call-up
Report for the playtest
The front needs commanders. Sign-ups are not open yet. When they are, the notice goes here
and on Steam.
